Enzym Private Joint-Stock Company is one of the major companies in Ukraine. In a bid to help preserve the environment, Enzym Company utilizes biogas derived from wastewater treatment which covers about 70% of its energy needs. It's in the plan of the company to completely jettison the use of natural gas in the near future. In order to attain this goal, Enzym Company plans to invest about €2 million in wastewater treatment plant systems.
As Enzym Company is not indifferent to the wellbeing of the environment and the development of the city of Lviv, it initiated several social and cultural programs. Hence the company is working to make Lviv a more comfortable and attractive city for residents and tourists. As a result of its efforts, Enzym Company has received the Lviv Socially Responsible Award in "Face of the City" contest.
